While I don't offer physical prints, I can give printing direction based on my own personal experience. I've used GicleeToday.com many times and have always been pleased with the results.
Taking the file to a local print shop to be printed is also a great idea since you can see the finished print immediately and they'll often reprint if something needs to be fixed at no extra charge. Whatever you choose, I hope the advice below will be useful.
What size should I print?
- I draw on a 9X9" canvas at 300dpi (dots per inch) by default but you can specify a different size in the Commissions Form. This can be comfortably sized up a few inches without noticeable quality loss.Â
What kind of paper should I print on?
- On GicleeToday, I print my color pictures on matte paper like their Moab Bright paper. For a glossy look, I've used Chrome Metallic paper. Luster Semi-Matte paper is a great in-between. If you're framing your print in glass, I recommend using matte paper.
-If you're taking the file to a print shop, they will know what's best with the services they offer.
-DO NOT SELL MY DRAWINGS, PUT THEM ON MERCHANDISE TO SELL OR CLAIM YOU ARE THE ARTIST. That would be very rude indeed.
