I have been drawing since I was a toddler, and have amassed an extensive collection of classic and contemporary children's books.

I decided I wanted become a children's illustrator when I was just a child myself, but didn't take any serious steps toward my goal until after I completed a certificate program in Natural Science Illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design. The lessons I learned there have been invaluable to me as an artist.

I enjoy drawing animals in unexpected scenes. My media of choice are colored pencil and pen and ink. I'm new to the field, but my recent published works include "Hope", by Adam Eisenson for Lone Star Publications in Dallas, Texas, and the cover illustration of the Jan/Feb '06 issue of New Moon Magazine out of Duluth, Minnesota.
